How fast do you think you can be? Prove it

Before every run, you get one look at the level - then you have to guess your own completion time. The lower the better... if you can actually beat your own estimate. Guess wrong, and the clock catches up to you.

Features:

  • A pixel-art platformer
  • Scout each level with a sweeping camera pass befor committing to your time
  • Unlock new levels by providing you can back up your guess

Every run is a bet against your own confidence. Second-guess yourself, or trust your gut - just make sure you're fast enough to back it up.

This was developed during GMTK Game Jam 2026.

This is our first game jam ever, and honestly, we didn't quite manage to finish everything we wanted to - but we still wanted to submit something! Thanks for checking it out!

Unfortunally both uploads web and windows are broken. So I uploaded the complete and fully functioning versions here https://understendable.itch.io/second-guess-second-upload. We would highly appreciate any feedback in the comments of the other project too. Additionally I uploaded the missing pck file of the original windows upload as proove that i didn't change anything in the passed time. You can download it in the other project too and use it together with the original windows .exe from this site.

In the other project i uploaded the missing pck file of the original windows upload. You can use the pck together with the windows .exe from this site. That should be the proove, that I didn't change anything after the deadline.

Unfortunately the web-version is not working :( Didn't know that we had to upload a ZIP file... but feel free to download the .exe file!
